The birch that blocked the view

Large birch, roots at the fence and the garage. Down and away in under three hours, and the customer got their view back.

A back garden in one day

We worked into the dark to get it finished — dug out, turfed, slabbed, sleeper beds filled and ready to plant.

Ten feet of garden, handed back

A cherry sitting up in the phone lines and a privet hedge nobody had touched in years, taking the whole bottom of the garden. Tree out, hedge cut right back, and they got over ten feet of their own ground returned to them.

A patio that puddled

Sunken and holding water every time it rained. We lifted the lot, scraped out what was under it, put fresh sub base and sand in and relaid every slab — the proper way it should have been done the first time.

The first visit, when it’s bad

A back court nobody had touched in a long time. Cut down to a level somebody can keep on top of.

Copper beech, tight to the house

Dismantled over the shed and the fence, then logged up and stacked so the customer had the winter’s heating out of it.

Hedge out, fence in

Same customer, one boundary, start to finish. The conifer hedge came out, the stumps were ground, and a double side-boarded six foot fence went in where it had been — the privacy without the forever growing.

Hedges back to six foot

Neglected for years and well over the gate. Brought down and squared up along the whole boundary, then kept there on the rounds.
